Welcome Parents and Youth
Dear Parents
and Youth,
Welcome to the EUMC
youth group, the Disciples of Christ, better known as the D.O.C.
The youth group is designed for those in grades 6-12. We meet on
Sunday evenings from 5:30 - 8 p.m.
The group will meet
then divide between the middle and the high school. One group will
start off with games as the other group will go right into
discussion then the two groups will meet together for snack then
divide with the first group going into discussion as the second
group will go to games.
We advise you to check
the calendar, the webpage, and the text messages you will receive
for updates, invitations and changes should they occur.
We recognize that
parents are the most influential in their children’s lives. Your
instruction and guidance influence your children more than anything
or anyone ever will.
Some ways you can be
involved and help: attend the occasional parent meeting, bring
your information, questions, ideas, discuss ways you parent and
hear from us about the things we’ve learned; encourage your
children to attend as often as they can and invite their friends
and neighbors, and provide transportation to meetings and events.
Please pray for the
youth, the parents and the youth team.

Remember: Encourage,
Encourage, Encourage! Look for the good things our youth do and
join me in verbally rewarding them for their actions and words,
promoting good behavior. When we need to discipline, they will
understand that we love them like Christ loves all of us.
Thank you for allowing
us to share in the lives of the youth. We enjoy working with them
and sharing the word of God with them. They are fun, sincere,
often challenging and always rewarding.
